Distraction-Free Schools Colorado is a growing bipartisan coalition of parents, educators and medical professionals united in calling for legislative action and policy changes to address the negative consequences of smartphones, social media, and unregulated technology products in Colorado schools.
We're mobilizing and training district-based coalitions across the state to advocate for distraction-free schools.
The Model Legislation
The Becca Schmill Foundation and Smartphone Free Childhood U.S, have drafted a package of three model bills focused on creating distraction-free school environments. The bills are written to establish a gold standard that prioritizes students' mental health and development, academically and socially.
Follow the steps below to contact Colorado lawmakers:

2. Next, click here to download and modify a copy of this advocacy letter to send to your legislators.
3. Copy and paste the modified letter into the body of an email calling for legislative action and send it to your legislators.
